If you’re reading this right now, there’s a good chance you know me from somewhere else.
Maybe you came across one of my YouTube videos and liked what you saw.
Maybe you heard my name from someone who recommended my content in an online community (or maybe you’re already a member of my Facebook Group and came from there).
Or maybe you already know me personally (hi, Mom!)
However you heard about me, there’s a good chance you’re involved in selling things online.
Whether you’re selling shoes, SaaS products, online courses, or ideas…it really doesn’t matter.
If you want anyone to pay attention to you online, you have to sell them on it .
Which is what this website is about.
How to tell stories, create content, and ultimately write words that sell things.
Because whether you realize it or not, we’re in a war.
And this war has nothing to do with politics, or land, or international security.
We’re in a war for the most valuable commodity in the world.
We’re in a war for attention.
Swipe down on your iPhone for a second (or whatever you Android people do to view your notifications).
I’m willing to bet a Facebook Like that you have at least 3 unread notifications begging for you to check them…right now.
Open up your text messages, or Messenger, or Instagram, or God forbid Facebook, and I bet you’ll see another 30 – 70 unread notifications all clamoring for your attention.
Here’s the reality – the people you’re trying to get to listen to you all have 700 other things also trying to get them to listen to them.
So how do you cut through the noise?
How do you spread your ideas, or sell a product, or build a profitable business?
It’s really not rocket science, or magic.
It’s formulaic.
[Value of Attention] – [Cost to Acquire Attention] = [Profit].
I call it Attention Arbitrage.
And it’s what I write about on my blog.
